Digital transformation in hospitality is no longer a trend: it's an operational necessity and something guests now expect. That's the view of Javier Seguí, Operations Director at Sandos Hotels, who spoke with us about rolling out EISI HOTEL across the group and what the process taught them.
With properties across several key destinations, Sandos Hotels had long recognized that growth and diversification came with an urgent need: getting every hotel to record and manage data the same way.
"Before, each hotel measured things its own way — some in liters, others in kilos. Comparing results and making sound decisions was impossible," says Javier Seguí. With EISI HOTEL, the team set common criteria for key areas like maintenance, housekeeping and sustainability, giving them a consistent, up-to-date view of what's happening at each property.
Xavier López, CEO of EISI SOFT, with Javier Seguí, Operations Director at Sandos Hotels, during the interview.
Rather than being about oversight or cutting staff, the project had one clear aim: catch procedural errors, simplify day-to-day operations, and improve coordination between departments.
"The biggest win has been a better relationship between departments. Front desk no longer has to call maintenance to find out if a lightbulb got changed — they see it in real time now," he says.
Among the clearest operational benefits:
- Consistent, accessible information across every hotel.
- Fewer unnecessary calls and back-and-forth.
- Clear tracking of tasks and responsibilities.
- Better guest service thanks to speed and traceability.
Internal culture change is one of the biggest hurdles in any digitalization project. Sandos' experience was clear: resistance fades once teams see the technology actually making their day easier.
"You need patience. Train, repeat, be there for people... and above all, make clear this isn't about monitoring them — it's about making their job easier," Javier notes.
The team also identified a key factor for a successful rollout: the hotel's own tech infrastructure. He describes having to "upgrade WiFi even in plant rooms — things you never used to think about that are now essential if you actually want to digitize."

Javier's closing message is clear and direct: "Don't just think of it as cost savings — think of it as better processes and a better image. Technology isn't optional anymore: if you won't digitize for yourself, do it for your guests."
It's a view that lines up perfectly with EISI HOTEL's own philosophy: building real solutions for real hotel problems, with no empty promises, no unnecessary complexity, and a constant focus on helping teams work better and guests enjoy a better stay.
Sandos Hotels' story reflects what many hotel groups are now discovering: operational digitalization isn't a competitive edge anymore — it's a condition for staying relevant.
At EISI HOTEL, we're proud to support groups like Sandos on this journey toward a more connected, more efficient hospitality industry — one built around useful data, empowered teams and satisfied guests.
